I have been researcing Zelda Wynn Valdes she was the premiere designer of the 40s,50s,and 60s her fashions started the trend of the mermaid gown. She designed for icons such as Dorothy Dandridge (pictured), Mae West, Joyce Bryant, Billie Holiday, and countless others. She also designed the first Playboy bunny corset, ears, and puff with the signature french cut. The influence of this designer still reigns today you can see her influence from Katy Perry to Beyonce to Carrie Underwood.
